The SoHo apartments for sale at 70 Charlton have been infused with a bit of whimsy, thanks to designer, ceramicist, and author Jonathan Adler. Extell, the Downtown tower’s developer, tapped Adler to stage a model unit on the building’s 17th floor, a task Adler tackled with aplomb. The result? A 2,000-square-foot modern masterpiece full of Adler’s signature style, including a blue-wallpapered living room with gold and white details, a dining room boasting a Caracas six-light chandelier, white linen seating, and black and white accents, and a master suite outfitted in calming blues and grays. “This glamorous, spirited home is a prime example of Jonathan’s expertise in perfectly layering midcentury elements with modern textures and methods for a calming but uplifting effect,” says Extell’s vice president of development, Elysa Goldman.
