NY Cottages & Gardens: Deeds & Don’ts

Manhattan’s Hudson Square is the most sought-after neighborhood buyers have never heard of. This enclave on SoHo’s western edge, which underwent a 2013 rezoning that allows an expansion of residential development, is now home to one of the city’s most luxurious new developments, 70 Charlton. The 22-story luxury building from Extell, the developers behind 555TEN and One Manhattan Square in NYC, will certainly make Hudson Square known to New Yorkers, adding an assemblage of elegant residences to the neighborhood, each featuring interiors from Workshop/APD. Amenities include an attended lobby, landscaped courtyard, state-of-the-art fitness center, and indoor/outdoor lounge space. “Names catch on organically,” says Anna Zarro, senior vice president and director of sales and leasing at Extell. “People identify with a hyper-local affection to their neighborhood, and that’s how a label sticks.”
